S.F. Bay Area Local / Organic Food

Eating organically or locally grown food in the San Francisco Bay Area

Farm Fresh to You (http://www.farmfreshtoyou.com) had a booth at this weekend's Now and Zen fest. As part of the "Community Supported Agriculture" movement, they send a box of fresh, locally grown (Capay, CA) fruits and/or vegetables to you as often as once a week. They are picked the day before they arrive. I certainly prefer things out f the own garden, but this seems like the next best thing to that or picking yourself at the farmer's market. I decided to give it a try. If anyone else has experience with them, let me know.

I get a box from Farm Fresh To You, Capay Farms Only shipment, every two weeks with no restrictions. I love it, and I have my own small plot in a San Francisco community garden as well. I was disappointed in my first shipment from them. Several things were over ripe. However I have never had a bum shipment since.

A ready supply of produce and a good "local foods" cookbook go a long way.

Thanks! Glad to hear it.
Got any good local foods cookbooks I should add to the books list?
P.S. I noticed editing the notes that have tables in them is kind of a pain; so, I'm going to think about another way to format that info on the restaurants...
