If local+sustainable is your main concern, then this is one way to promote it. Sustainability speaks to a larger number of people than raw does. The only important question is: what are effective ways to reach them. Overlap is not a problem.

Hey Jordan, welcome. I'd love to hear your feedback. I'm also wondering how to deal with overlap. Say, the GiveItToMeRaw community San Francisco group overlaps with this quite a bit, but not those interested in local and sustainable are also limiting themselves to RAW. I'm also not clear on how the RAW community sees sustainable/local and organic. I suspect there's more overlap there, but I'm not sure yet.
